20191102 - 2019 Mt Juliet PD Chili Cook-Off
In an effort to foster police-community relationships, the Mt. Juliet Police hosted a community appreciation day, chili cook-off, and open house. The event, MC'd by Captain Tyler Chandler, was meant to be an opportunity for residents to meet and talk with neighbors, friends, businesses, and members of the police department in a fun, friendly setting at police headquarters.
The chili was voted on by citizens, Police Chief James Hambrick, and Fire Chief Jamie Luffman, and trophies were awarded to those with the most votes! Captain Chanler received a little help from a young man named Foster in handing out the trophies! Foster has intentions of becoming a police officer with the MJPD when he gets older.
The event took place on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Juliet Police Headquarters, located at 1019 Charlie Daniels Parkway.
