20190520 - City of Mount Juliet - Flag Display
On the afternoon of May 20th, The Fire Department of Mount Juliet raised an arch and flew a giant American Flag to honor and show respect to numerous Vietnam War Veterans who were riding cross county on motorcycles on their way to the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC for Memorial Day.
The Mount Juliet Police Department and several members of local organizations such as AmVets, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, etc. were on hand with flags to show their support as well.
Several hundred bikers set off on a trek from California to Washington, DC by way of Interstates 10, 40, and 80 picking up additional riders and making stops at memorial sites along the way.
