20171007 - Mount Juliet - Fire/Rescue Operations-101
The Mt Juliet Fire Department hosted an event to ring in the 2017 Fire Prevention Week. There were several demonstrations including the "Doll House" fire behavior display, a car crash with a person trapped, a simulated search of a house to look for victims during a fire, and a Live fire in a room to demonstrate how quickly a fire can grow and the importance of closing doors and having working smoke detectors.
Guests of honor were Mt Juliet Vice-Mayor (District 2 Commissioner) James Maness and District 4 Commissioner Brian Abston who each got to suit up with the firefighters and try their hands at a search and some vehicle extrication.
