Jones Beach State Park, Field 5 - The Wantagh Fire Department hosted a Disaster / MCI Drill that brought resources from all over the New York Metro area. The scenario was that a passenger plane headed west into the city made a crash landing at Field 5 adjacent to the Nikon Jones Beach theater. In the process it would strike a building near the shore, and victims would be strewn about the area. The initial dispatch sent EMS to an unknown type incident with possible aided. Upon the arrival of Ambulance 6915, it was confirmed that a passenger jetliner had crashed, and there were multiple victims. Resources from as far as Yonkers (with their M.E.R.V.) were called to the scene.
