20220711 - Unincorporated Mount Juliet - Electrocution
219 Quad Oak Dr - Shortly before 12:00 PM, Wilson County first responders were dispatched to a report of an electrocution.
Deputies, firefighters, and medics arrived to find a roofing crew and one of their tallest ladders leaning across main power lines. This ladder had a small motor and a platform used for moving loads up to the rooftop, and that unit was on fire. Additionally, there were three members of the construction crew that had been seriously injured.
The first arriving unit advised dispatch that they had two to be transported to the hospital and one fatality. Additional resources were summoned to the scene to assist in medical care, and Middle Tennessee Electric was needed ASAP to shut down the power.
Once all victims were removed from the scene, the Sheriff’s Office and Middle Tennessee Electric began their investigations and awaited a response from TOSHA (TN Occupational Safety Hazard Administration).
