20210211 - Unincorporated Mount Juliet - House Fire
317 Toby Trail - At about 9:25 PM, Wilson County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a house fire. The caller was a neighbor stating the home was fully-involved.
The first due apparatus was Engine-5 (A Shit) under the command of Lieutenant Robby Boissonneault [605]. He checked on scene and reported that he had a two story single family residence 100% involved, and instructed the second due to establish a water supply.
Neighbors on both sides reported that the home was vacant since the owner passed way eighteen months earlier.
Additional responding units included Medic-5, Medic-10, Engine-3, Engine-4, Tanker-9, (Acting Shift Commander) Captain Eric Eldridge [602], Fire Chief & Deputy Director Jeremy Hobbs [901], Rehab-23, The Wilson County Sheriff's Office, and Middle Tennessee Electric.
Crews deployed two handlines, one 2.5 inch and one 1.75 inch and began efforts to extinguish the conflagration. A viable water supply was established after dual 3 inch supply lines were run to a nearby hydrant.
After approximately two hours of constant deluge, the fire finally started to darken down, but numerous collapses had occurred and making entry to overhaul and hit hotspots would be difficult and dangerous.
The fire is currently labeled as suspicious due to the large volume of fire upon arrival and is under investigation by the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency and the Wilson County Sheriff's Office. No firefighters or civilians were injured battling this blaze.
