20200429 - Unincorporated Mount Juliet - Building Fire
631 Beckwith Road [Breeden's Orchard Country Store and Farmers Market] - At approximately 2:50am, Wilson County EMA firefighters and Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a report of a possible structure fire reported by a passer-by.
The first arriving unit was a deputy from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office that reported a fully involved building fire.
The first due apparatus was WEMA Engine-6 quickly followed by Engine-3 (C Shift) under the command of Captain Steve Fox [801]. His initial report stated that he had a fully involved building and that crews would be engaging in a completely exterior / defensive attack.
The third due apparatus was Engine-4, along with Medic-4. Two handlines were stretched and suppression efforts began. Water was shuttled with Engines 3 & 4 and in about an hour, all visible flames were knocked down.
The structure, being built with a corrugated steel roof, would take some time to overhaul.
Once completely extinguished, crews were able to pick up and return to service.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency.
