20200303 - Tornado Damage Survey
Just before 1:00 am on March 3rd, 2020 (Super Tuesday), a large powerful tornado, which had touched down in Davidson County, entered and traveled across the City of Mount Juliet and on to points east in Wilson County, Smith County, and Putnam County. Numerous houses and building received damage ranging from minor to catastrophic, some being completely wiped off the map.

Preliminary information from the National Weather Service indicates this to have been an EF-3 Tornado (150-155 MPH).
Officials from the City of Mount Juliet have reported three confirmed fatalities as a direct result of the tornado.
