20200222 - Unincorporated Mount Juliet - Police Activity
9373 Central Pike - At approximately 4:00 PM, The crew of a helicopter from the Tennessee Highway Patrol Aviation Unit detected a signal on the aircraft's LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System. The crew followed the signal and ultimately located a motorcycle that had been reported to the Metro Nashville Police Department as stolen.
The crew landed the aircraft in a field adjacent to the property where the LoJack signal was strongest and the Troopers made contact with and detained several subjects while they investigated further. Backup ground units were requested from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office and other Troopers working in the area.
Deputies and Detectives from the Sheriff's Office assisted the Highway Patrol in conducting a criminal investigation and executing a search of the property for other potentially stolen items. Their investigation turned up a total of two stolen motorcycles and a stolen pickup truck from Indiana. All three vehicles were impounded and transported to a secure facility for evidence holding.
At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
