20190116 - City of Lebanon - Vehicle Fire
I-40 Eastbound Mile Marker 230.2 - At approximately 8:05PM, City of Lebanon Police and Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire on the eastbound shoulder of the interstate between Beckwith Road and Highway 109.
LFD Engine-4 (C Shift) was the first unit to arrive and advised that they had fire in the engine compartment of a work body pickup truck.
Lebanon Police Officers and a Trooper from the Tennessee Highway Patrol arrived on scene to provide traffic control and handle the incident report and towing requests.
One 1.75 inch handline was stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished.
The operator of the F350 stated that he noticed some flickering in his sideview mirror and then the engine cut off. He then coasted to the shoulder of the interstate and exited the vehicle, discovered the fire, and called 911.
There were no injuries associated with the incident.
