20181204 - Unincorporated Mount Juliet - Vehicle Fire
220 Oak Point Lane - Shortly after 7:30PM, Wilson County EMA firefighters were dispatched to a report of a car fire in a driveway.
Engine-51 & Medic-51 (B Shift), under the command of Lieutenant Tamara Felts [703], arrived on the scene to find a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with an engine compartment fire extending into the passenger compartment.
Firefighters stretched one 1.75" handline and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
The owner stated that the vehicle had been sitting un-driven for some time and when he attempted to start the vehicle he heard a pop and then there was a fire under the hood. He then dialed 911.
No injuries were associated with this fire.
