20181027 - City of Mount Juliet - Car Fire
Interstate 40 westbound at exit 229 - At about 9:10 PM calls began coming in to Mount Juliet Police and Fire Communications reporting a car fire against the center divider. Police and Fire units were dispatched to the scene.
As police units arrived on the scene they began to shut down lanes of the interstate to prevent further incident. As Engine-104 (B Shift), under the command of Captain Mo Sills [1102], arrived on the scene, all westbound lanes were shut down.
One 1.75" handline was stretched from the front bumper and the fire was quickly knocked down. With a bit of overhaul, the fire was declared under control and extinguished.
The cause of the fire is unknown. The operator stated to police that he had very recently purchased the vehicle.
