1617 Alsdale Rd -Shortly after 8:00 PM, a 911 caller reported shots fired in the area of Alsdale Road and Belinda Parkway and a white SUV fleeing the area. City of Mt Juliet Police were immediately dispatched to the area. The first two arriving units located a disturbance in front of one of the homes, and those individuals reported that shots had been fired into their home. Officers secured the area around the home and checked the inside of the home. The home was occupied by 7 people at the time of the shooting 3 of which were children -- none of whom were injured. Detectives were summoned to the scene to look for evidence and investigate. It is unknown exactly how many shots were fired, but detectives recorded 4 confirmed bullet strikes to the front of the home. An extensive search, which included the use of a metal detector, turned up no shell casings, leading investigators to believe the perpetrator may have used a revolver. A description of the fleeing vehicle was obtained and detectives continue to investigate and follow up on leads.
