20180519 - City of Lebanon - House Fire
713 West Spring Street - At approximately 6:30PM, firefighters from the City of Lebanon Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a house fire.
Wilson EMA A-Shift Commander James Copas [600] was in the immediate vicinity and responded to the scene following the dispatch of a standby medic unit. He advised dispatch that there was heavy smoke showing from the C and D sides of the structure.
The first arriving piece of apparatus from LFD was Engine-1. Also assigned to the call were Engine-3, Engine-4, Rescue-1, The Shift Commander, and Chief of Department Chris Dowell.
Crews made an aggressive attack and were able to keep the blaze confined to one room and a small space inside the wall in the area above that room.
In addition to the standby ambulance provided by Wilson County EMA, Engine-11 also responded and acted as a Rapid Intervention Team for the majority of the incident, and was eventually put to work doing salvage and overhaul.
The Wilson County Emergency Services Rehab Association [Rehab-23] also responded to the scene and provided refreshments to the firefighters.
No injuries were associated with this incident, and the cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by The City of Lebanon Fire Department.
