20180302 - City of Mount Juliet - Brush Fire
3491 East Division Street - At 5:00 PM, The Fire Department of the City of Mount Juliet was dispatched to the scene of a brush fire near the city boundary. The caller stated that the fire was spreading.
The first unit to arrive on scene was Chief of Department Jamie Luffman [Chief-101] who confirmed the reports and stated he could handle with resources en route (Squad-103 and Brush-100).
When Squad-103 (C Shift), under the command of Lieutenant Drew Noland [1103], arrived on scene, Firefighter Joe Agent began suppression of the fire with a flapper. He, single handedly, put out the entire fire. When Brush-100 arrived on the scene, some wetting of the perimeter was completed and units then returned to service.
The cause of the fire is not known.
