20180127 - City of Mount Juliet - Car Fire
Beckwith Road South of Interstate-40 - At 10:45AM, Mount Juliet Firefighters were dispatched to a reported vehicle. Upon the arrival of Engine-104 (A Shift), Firefighter Brent Blamires reported to dispatch that he did have a fully involved pickup truck which had extended to a nearby field resulting in a brush fire.
Firefighters Jeff Adam & Brent Blamires stretched one 1.75" handline from Engine-104 and went to work, first knocking down some of the spread of the brush fire, and then on the truck.
Brush-100, staffed by Captain Nick Ford [1101], responded to the scene and quickly addressed the brush fire.
When responders first arrived, the operator of the vehicle was nowhere to be found. Officers frpom the Mount Juliet Police Department worked to locate him or her.
Once both fires were extinguished, Engine-104 and Brush-100 returned to service. The cause of the fire is unknown, but appears to have originated in the engine compartment.
