20180121 - Unincorporated Lebanon - Large Brush Fire
3885 West Richmond Shop Road - At approximately 3:00 PM firefighters from the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency were dispatched to one of several brush fires that day. The first unit to arrive was Engine-51 (C Shift) with Lieutenant Scott Lorden [804] who reported he had a large area of brush burning and it was spreading quickly due to the wind.
Lieutenant Lorden requested additional resources to the scene to include two engines and two brush trucks. There were several other incidents taking place in the county, and a brush truck from the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Engine-91, Engine-61, and Brush-11 (which was staffed by the crew form Station 8).
Once the additional manpower and off-road vehicles arrived on the scene, firefighters were able to quickly control the blaze preventing any further spread.
Once the brush fire was extinguished, crews spent some time fully extinguishing the burn pile that was the point of origin for this brush fire.
