20171118 - Gladeville - Tornado Damage
Stewart's Ferry Road & McCreary Road - At approximately 5:00PM, a tornado touched down in the center of Gladeville causing damage to a church, several structures, and brought some trees and power lines down.
The church sustained damage to one of its doorways when the tornado ripped a gable off and with it the brick facade. Additionally, the steeple and the cross on top of it were substantially damaged. The cross was lifted and propelled through the roof of the church's sanctuary.
Since it was after dark, a full damage assessment could not be completed and it was put off until the next day. At the time this was written, no injuries had been reported.
