20170702 - Norene - House Fire
320 Blue Well Rd - At approximately 6:30 PM firefighters from the Wilson Emergency Management Agency and Watertown Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a house on fire.
First on scene was Engine-11 [A Shift] and Medic-11, shortly followed by Captain Eric Eldridge [602]. The initial size-up report stated that there was heavy smoke coming from a residential structure, and that this would be an interior attack.
Additional units form Station 2, Station 7, Station 9, and Watertown Volunteer FD arrived on scene and went to work.
The fire was brought under control relatively quickly, however it would take quite a while longer to overhaul the structure and find all the hot spots and declare the fire OUT.
Nobody was in the house at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured. The point of origin is reported to have been the kitchen. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency.
