20170204A - City of Mount Juliet - House Fire Rekindle
504 Belinda Parkway - At 6:05 AM Mt Juliet Police & Fire Communications received a call from a subject that stated that a house that had been on fire the day before was again on fire. Units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
An MJPD sector car arrived on the scene and reported that the home was fully engulfed in fire.
A couple moments later the first due unit, Tower-114 [B Shift] commanded by Captain Morris Sills [1102] arrived on scene and began suppression efforts.
One 1 3/4" handline was stretched to protect the neighbors house to the east. Squad-103 [B Shift] commanded by Lieutenant Drew Noland [1120] arrived on scene just a couple moments later and set up a master stream in the front yard. This helped to knock down a large portion of the fire.
Once Tower-114 was set up for aerial operations, the Ladder Pipe was put in operation and much of the firefighting was done from the air.
Once all the visible fire was extinguished, firefighters began to overhaul and expose all surfaces of the home to assure there were no remaining hot spots.
The fire the day before was deemed NOT to be suspicious in nature, and the cause of this fire is currently under investigation. Officials from the Mt Juliet Fire Department did state that a crew had stopped by the scene overnight at approximately midnight and there were no signs of any fire or hot spots.
