631 Beckwith Rd - At approximately 4:15 pm, Wilson EMA units returning from a call in Lebanon saw a plume of smoke in the sky and set off to look for the source. The smoke could be seen from Lebanon Road and Interstate-40. After a short search, units located the source of the smoke at the old Breeden's Orchard on Beckwith Road.

Crews had located a travel trailer on fire and a man with severe burns at the scene. A medic unit was already en route to the scene, and a medevac helicopter was also requested to respond.

As additional units arrived, suppression efforts began and the main body of the fire was knocked down, as well as a resulting grass fire which was spreading towards a residence.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight-5 arrived at the scene and began providing advanced care for the man in the back of the ambulance. After a short while, he was transferred to the helicopter and transported to the Trauma Center at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.

The man was reportedly lighting a barbecue at the time the fire started. The official cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wilson Emergency Management Agency and the Wilson County Sheriff's Department.
