20160801 - City of Mount Juliet - Car Fire
436 Rutland Drive - At approximately 4:05PM, Mt Juliet Police Lieutenant Wesley Neeley [403] reported by radio that he was out with a car fire in a driveway. Additional police units were dispatched to assist with traffic, and The Mt Juliet Fire Department was dispatched as well
Moments later, Engine-104 arrived on scene and deployed one 1 3/4" handline to extinguish the fire. Due to the quick actions of the police officers on the scene, deploying their ABC fire extinguishers, the fire was able to be contained to the engine compartment of the vehicle.
The roadway was closed for a short while, but evening traffic quickly resumed once the vehicle was towed away and the Fire Department cleared the scene.
