20160624 - Watertown - House Fire
260 Statesville-Main Street - Shortly before 3:30 PM, the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department and Wilson County Emergency Management were dispatched to a possible house fire, the caller was reporting heavy smoke pushing from the front door and the roof.
A short while later, WEMA Tanker 21 arrived on the scene and reported thick black smoke pushing from the front door, banked down nearly all the way to the floor.
Crews made entry and had some difficulty locating the seat of the fire, but once a positive pressure fan was put in place at the front door, the majority of the smoke cleared out and the seat of the fire was located and the bulk of the fire was extinguished.
Overhaul was extensive and took a while due to the oppressive heat and humidity.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and is under investigation by Wilson County Emergency Management, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
