Philadelphia Rd + South Dickerson Chapel Rd - Just before 8:30 pm, Wilson County 911 received a telephone report of a barn on fire, and that it was fully involved. Wilson EMA Stations 8, 9, and 1 were alerted and units responded. By the time units arrived, the barn had already collapsed in on itself, and continued to burn intensely. Under of the direction of Shift Commander Jeremy Hobbs, firefighters deployed two handlines and worked to contain and prevent the spread of the fire to the adjoining brush. There were no structures being threatened, The nearest hydrant was too far away for an engine to lay in, so tanker shuttles commenced. Once the main body of fire was knocked down, units ceased supression efforts knowing that no matter how much they would work at it, the barn and its stores of hay would continue to smolder for 2 to 3 days. The 911 center was advised of this and they were told to advise any concerned callers of the same,
