20200229 - Hermitage - Building Fire
100 Arbor Lake Blvd, Building 4 - At 7:17PM, the Nashville Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire with a report of persons trapped.
The first due unit was Engine-32 (A Shift) which reported heavy fire through the roof of a three story apartment building. Next arriving units included District-28, Truck-28, Engine-28.
A second alarm was transmitted for heavy fire in multiple units and throughout the attic space.
Additional responding units to the scene included Engine-4, Engine-15, Engine-22, Engine-27, Engine-35, Engine-36, Engine-37, Truck-9, Truck-21, Truck-26, Rescue-1, Rescue-2, Rescue-12, Rescue-13, 4 Medic Units, Air-19, Rehab-55, District-9, District-Special Ops, Safety-19, Safety-21, A Shift Assistant Fire Chief, EMS Assistant Chief, Public Information Officer, and several Fire Marshals.
It took three ladder pipes and three 2.5 inch handlines and a couple hours to bring the conflagration under control, and a few more to complete overhaul.
One resident was transported to an area hospital and one dog was rescued from one of the apartments. In all, the occupants of all 22 units had to be displaced as a result of this fire. There were no other injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nashville Fire Department.
