20191104 - Hermitage - House Fire
8200 Terry Lane - At approximately 8:45 am, companies were dispatched to a report of a house on fire with people trapped.
Engine-32 (A Shift) responded form their station which was less than a mile away and arrived on scene first. They reported fire through the roof and went to work. The occupants had escaped through a window prior to the arrival of the fire department, but one resident went back in through the front door to rescue his dog. Both were able to safely exit the structure.
Additional responding units included Truck-28, Engine-36, Engine-15, Rescue-1, Truck-9, Air-19, Box-55, District-28, a Medic unit, an EMS District Chief, and several others including officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The fire was extinguished fairly quickly and then overhauled.
Fire Marshals diid not deem the fire suspicious. No injuries were sustained by firefighters or the occupants of the home. The exact cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Nashville Fire Department.
