20180411 - Madison - House Fire
1018 Chadwell Drive - Shortly before 4:30 PM, Nashville firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire. The first due engine was Engine-29 (B Shift) under the command of [Acting In Charge] Firefighter Allen Sykes. Engine-29 laid in the driveway and began extinguishing a fire in a garage in the C/D corner of a large 1 story 1,600 sqft brick residential structure.
The second due engine, Engine-1, performed a reverse lay from the driveway to the hydrant a few hundred feet down the road.
Additional responding units to the scene included Truck-29, Engine-39, Rescue-1, Medic-41, District-29B (Chief Donald Alford), Safety-19B (Chief Hugh Wingett), and a volunteer staffed rehab unit from Box-55.
The fire was placed under control at about 5:00PM, and units began to pick up and prepare to return to service.
No injuries were reported as a result of this fire, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nashville Fire Department.
