West Neck Road and Banbury Lane - Cold Spring Harbor FD & EMS, Huntington FD, Huntington Community First Aid Squad, Lloyd Harbor PD, and Suffolk Police responded to this accident in Lloyd Harbor where a US Postal Service Truck struck a tree after being rear-ended by another vehicle. As a result, the Postal worker was thrown through the front windshield of his vehicle. The man was taken by Huntington Community First Aid Squad to North Shore – Huntington Hospital with what were described as Serious Physical Injuries. The driver of the other vehicle refused ambulance transportation. The scene was held as a crime scene due to the extent of the injuries, and was investigated by the Suffolk Police and Lloyd Harbor Police. - Update: The driver of this vehicle later died as a result of injuries sustained in this accident.
