8 Pine Lane - At 9:40am, the Bayville Fire Company was dispatched to a report of smoke in the house. Upon arrival, Chief of Department Edward Orski [507] transmitted the Signal 10 (Working Fire) for fire in a 2 story 15' x 30' private dwelling. [Engine 504] and [Quint 502] arrived together, and as the engine stretched a line through the front door, the quint laddered the roof. The seat of the fire was found to be in the kitchen, and was quickly knocked down. Overhaul revealed some extension into an exterior wall which was also quickly extinguished. Mutual Aid to the scene consisted of a FAST team from Locust Valley and an Engine form Oyster Bay Company 1. The City of Glen Cove provided station coverage.
