[ifo] 575 Underhill Blvd - The Syosset Fire Department responded to this accident where a pickup truck apparently lost traction on the roadway and slid into a tree, resulting in the driver being trapped in the vehicle. Members put the tools on Rescue 588 into service and removed the driver's door, which provided sufficient access for EMS to safely remove the patient. After a brief evaluation, he was transported to an area hospital.
