Robbins Lane Crossing - At approximately 4:45pm, the crew of a westbound Long Island Railroad passenger train reported striking a pedestrian at the Robbins Lane crossing in Syosset. Police and Emergency Services were notified to respond, and the power to the third rail suspended. First arriving units confirmed there was indeed a deceased person under the train. Service in both directions was interrupted for nearly an hour while the track was cleared.
