Buckram Rd & Kathy Ct - Shortly after 7:30 AM, the Locust Valley Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department were notified of a one car accident just down the road from the fire station where an SUV had struck a utility pole and overturned in the roadway leaving the pole and live wires down in the roadway. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was able to crawl out the window to the sidewalk where he waited for emergency responders. He was later transported to the hospital for evaluation. The NCPD Emergency Service Unit was requested to the scene to upright the vehicle.
