Police, Firefighters, and EMS were summoned to this scene where a dump truck collided with a Volvo SUV, resulting in the car's driver becoming trapped. NCPD ESU and Firefighters from the Roslyn Rescue Fire Co & Roslyn Highlands Fire Co led by Chief Peter Liotta [5600] worked to free the woman who was then transported by an NCPD Ambulance to an area hospital. Numerous witnesses reported that the dump truck ran the red light. The Nassau County Police Motor-Carrier division was requested to the scene to investigate.
